Talita is a nonprofit organization that provides trauma therapy and support to women that has been in or still are in prostitution or trafficking for sexual purposes. The work is based on christian principles, but the organization is not tied to any single church or particular denomination. We who work in Talita have previously been running a social outreach work aimed at women in prostitution. We are  trauma therapists with special training in how to respond to victims of sexual traumatization.

If you belong to our target group, or know someone who does, please do not hesitate to contact us. We can then meet for an initial conversation and find out how we can best be of support.

TALITA CENTER
The organization Talita runs a day care center just south of Stockholm, Talita Center. The apartement with three rooms and a kitchen is originally a craft studio. Talita center offers the following activities: trauma therapy, education, fellowship, support in contact with authorities, help to plan the economy and creative work

Our experience is that the women we encounter need someone who takes a holistic approach to their situation. Most of them need both the activities mentioned above and a safe housing. Our vision for the future is to run a home that includes all these elements.

But for now you are very welcome to visit us weekdays between 10.00 – 17.00 and we will try to help you the best way we can.
